Japanese Paper
is a noble material. It is made out of fibers from low-lying bushes such as Gampi, Kozu and Mitsumata. The distinctness between these plants result in the diverseness in its paper quality, from firm, rubbery to smooth. This technique exists since 1'500 years.
Iris. h. is interested in the appeal of her chosen forms, most especially her colours on these semi- tanslucent papers in combination with „Backlights“. To this effect, several Hangers were created which received quite a positive echo because of its versatility in function.
